# Kilo Code

> Connect AnyAPI as a provider in Kilo Code's terminal UI

# AnyAPI Plugin for Kilo Code

[Kilo Code](https://github.com/Kilo-Org/kilocode) is an AI coding agent with a terminal UI (TUI). AnyAPI is listed as a selectable provider inside Kilo Code's `/connect` flow.

## Get Your API Key

Go to [API Keys](https://dash.anyapi.ai/?page=api-keys) in the AnyAPI Dashboard and create a new key.

## Installation

Inside the Kilo Code TUI, run:

```
/connect
```

Then:

**1. Select providers**

Choose **providers** from the `/connect` menu.

**2. Select anyapi**

Pick **anyapi** from the provider list.

**3. Paste your API key**

Enter your AnyAPI key when prompted.

## Recommended Models

| Model | Best for |
| - | - |
| `anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.6` | Fast coding tasks |
| `anthropic/claude-opus-4.6` | Complex reasoning |
| `openai/gpt-4o` | General purpose |
| `deepseek/deepseek-r1` | Algorithms, math |

> [!NOTE]
>
> AnyAPI uses `provider/model` format for model IDs. Bare names like `gpt-4o` without the vendor prefix won't work.

## Troubleshooting

> **anyapi not in the providers list**
>
> Update Kilo Code to the latest release — older versions may not include AnyAPI in the `/connect → providers` menu.

> **Authentication failed**
>
> Re-run `/connect → providers → anyapi` and re-enter your key. Confirm it's active at [dash.anyapi.ai](https://dash.anyapi.ai).

> **Model not found**
>
> Use the full `vendor/model` form (e.g. `anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.6`), not a bare model name.
